I like the fit but my dog has an odd shape with a big but tiny head. Based on the sizing guide, my friend bought this for her pup - the XL barely fits a 48lb dog. Ignore their size chart. Then I bought a second one for my pup. The neck is very small and not adjustable. So if you have the vet's definition of a medium-sized dog, this may not be for you. For example, if you buy a medium sized collar for your pup, the XL size will fit your pup. The quality is fine, the color is great and it's almost waterproof. I'll buy again for the price. Very easy to throw in the wash.
