I've seen many reviewers complain about this mount. This got me thinking seriously about this purchase. I installed this product a little over a month ago and have had no problems. I do NOT use a rubber washer in my rig as it would only cause the mount to vibrate and come loose easily. Mounting the rod in the hole for the tow hook is very easy. When attaching a metal plate to a pole, people can have problems. My car is an RC 350 AWD and I easily found a suitable hole in the panel to attach it to a post that didn't interfere with any of the sensors. I used a #2 Philips screwdriver, which is very tight on the screw. If you use a worn screwdriver you will get poor results. I have strong mechanical skills and I know how to properly tighten the screw. Keep your car away from any car wash that doesn't need to be touched!
