A bit confusing

I bought this to monitor TDS in my pool but this unit is showing results to be multiplied by 10 as TDS whilst I am mainly interested in calcium build up. According to this result, my tap water has a higher TDS than my pool. A bit confusing as I use a saltwater pool with 800 pounds of salt inside.
