A few months later I want to edit my review below: This toaster is too slow. It takes several minutes to toast a piece of bread, and sometimes only one side is browned. It's even worse with a donut. After 4 minutes it is still white. Not the end of the world, but annoying. We'll be buying a more expensive toaster soon. we complain almost every day. This toaster is fine. I think it's too shiny for our stainless steel kitchen, but that's no reason to return it. Slightly uneven browning. We had a wonderful toaster that cost a lot more and I couldn't imagine spending $150 on a toast so we bought it. It toasts the top of the bread darker than the bottom. design flaw.
