When I first unpacked it, the tripod was light and felt solid. For a budget tripod, this one is way better than my $28 tripod and well worth the extra $12 after the coupon was applied. Keep in mind that all hinges are plastic, but that's what you'd expect from cheaper tripods. What I love about it is that the hinge and locks are very smooth and work very well. When panning or tilting, it's smooth and effortless. When you register pan/tilt, everything stays in place. The leg extension is smooth and the locks on the legs are securely fixed, there are no questions whether the leg is fixed or not. With other tripods that have twistlock legs, I can't tell you the number of times one of the legs was left unlocked and when I tried to use it, the leg folded back. Dislikes: The tripod is in the lowest position e.g. B. unstable, as in my photos, the legs only unfold in one position. If you slide the center piece to the down position, forget about it, it will most likely fall off and damage your gear. Once you fully extend your legs to the next height, the tripod will become more stable. Do not use the center extension until the 3 legs are fully extended. The removable 1/4" 20 threaded plate at the top of the tripod is a bit confusing how it fits in, it's not marked and I try to turn it around a few times before I can mount it back onto the tripod. The Thread is also quite short, would have liked a few more threads The phone adapter is a really inexpensive adapter good enough to get the job done, the spring loading on the adapter is very strong and difficult to pull out Except for the clip on the Phone.
