The Farberware Professional Mandolin Slicer is a great helper in the kitchen. It comes with four interchangeable blades that allow you to slice, grate and julienne thick or thin vegetables. They all work great. There is a container on which you place the blade into which the food or cheese that you cut or grate falls. There's also a safety blade that you need to learn to use properly, as my bandaged pinky can attest. The blades and storage box are easy to store in the included case. It seems easy to store in a closet. The only drawback is that neither instructions nor a recipe book are included. Otherwise, it's a great tool to explore your chef's creativity.
