I/O error, crash after 4 months. Revain says contact Western Digital because 30 days have passed. Now the RMA fun begins. Locate the serial number on the front of the drive, then go to the Western Digital website to contact them. Pronouncing my email address over the phone to a non-English speaker is proving very difficult. I suspect he mislabeled my email because I didn't receive any emails for the RMA process. I had to call back the next day and start over and wait for the RMA details to be emailed to me. Chat support would be a great addition here. My guarantee for a drive with this speed will not be! Update: 3 days later I asked again to confirm my email address. I've called WD 4 times but still haven't received an RMA, they keep telling me to wait 24 hours. Update: I've decided to do an RMA through the website. In the end I received an email with the details of the RMA and sent the disc back. That was 7 days ago, not a word. Nothing.
