Review on 1000W BBSHD BBS03 Mid Drive Motor Kit Electric Bicycle Conversion Kit with Optional 48v 52v Lithium Battery Central Engine and DPC18 Display - DIY Ebike by Brandon Woodson

Bafang BBSHD/BBS03 1000w 48-52vdc was added to my MotoBecane Fantom Pro 26 in June this year and this is my 100 mile report. Aside from the brake lever issue this drivetrain was AMAZING, I also use a 48v battery and even though I lowered the voltage to 48 the battery gauge is way to the left edge. For the first 70 miles I stopped early due to a 'low voltage' indicator on the 750 ECU screen and drove home, but yesterday I was determined to use the battery until it was physically dead. After 20+ miles downriver and moderate climbs, I, the rider, was exhausted, the battery was still putting out 800 watts when I asked about it. The legs were good but the rest of me was gone. What can I say about this unit? The Bafang isn't always easy to come by, but these discs are nearly bulletproof, and if you do have a problem, polite cooperation will usually get you up and running in no time. They (Bafang) want you to be happy with their product and will try to make it right. I will be buying a second drivetrain soon to upgrade my other bike and am also considering buying a full Bafangs M600 drivetrain which is even better. Thank you for letting those old feet ride again
