I am well aware that good sound is in the ear of the beholder. With that in mind, I just connected the Sony IER-M9 to Sony, Cayin and Hiby players with a 4.4mm jack. They deliver as advertised. I listen to everything my FLAC files have to offer. Bass, mids and highs are all at a comfortable level. It comes in very handy after 2 hours of listening. I used the Comply Comfort Ts-200 tips for a great fit and fit. But they do come with a selection of different sized ear tips. I'm just a big fan of the Comply earplugs. I was looking for headphones that would give me great, detailed sound. The drums are crisp and punchy. The bass is soft and doesn't hit your head. Vocals are clean and crisp. I read a few reviews and watched a lot of unboxing and review videos. Most gave Sony high marks for this line of IEMs. I'm so glad I jumped at the chance to try them. I encourage you to work on yourself. But I really like my IER-M9. Good luck finding great IEMs.
