Yes, you could just buy a new battery, but this would not save you from a possible re-situation, I rarely drive, the trips are short. Now I have confidence that I will start up in almost any situation. In addition, when asked to light a cigarette, it is safer to connect your starter-charger, and not risk once again the electronics of the car. Who has a smaller engine, you can take a simpler model.
- I was able to start the Ford Explorer V6 3.5L gasoline after 3 months of inactivity, the first time, the battery was heavily drained, when I tried to start, only the relay clicked. After the factory, I drove home, removed the battery and put it on charge, charging Bosch c7 charged the battery in 9 hours.
