I got this for an Intel NUC to connect to an old Dell monitor that I needed to service to be able to work from home. The computer was a freshly configured computer running Ubuntu 18. Because of this cable, the computer failed to fully boot. I had to reinstall the OS to fix it. After reinstalling, the cable seemed to work fine, but after further research and reading reviews I decided not to trust it. Another reviewer wrote that this caused the blue screen of death on his Windows computer. I've read that the HDMI interface has a computer interface as part of it, which worries me that there may be malware in any firmware on this cable. I hope this is just an accident with the cable I received but just thought I'd share my experience.
