So I bought these to wear to the gym and also to fulfill my 80's craving for high tops with Velcro, and I cannot recommend these shoes enough. I took out the heel sole (literally took me 2 seconds) and they are still super comfortable and are actually much more enjoyable to wear without the sole. I wear these to work where I'm on my feet all day and to the gym and out and about, and they are just awesome all around. I promise you want these shoes, and for that price? say less. My only complaint is that the laces are kinda long, but I did the thing where you wrap the laces around your ankle and tie them in the front like I do with my converse, and it really adds to the whole 80's aesthetic. If you don't like them you can easily just take them out and put in shorter laces!
