The thing is loud and has no volume control.

I jump out of bed when this thing rings. I think I got my panties dirty a few times too. He has different sounds he can play but they get annoying when everyone comes out. In general it works fine. I use it for my father who has the last stage of Parkinson's disease. He can't get out of bed without crashing and helping him is part of the game.
