The hoses on this are packaged to be compressed but you can either soak them in hot water or use a hair dryer to loosen them. I bought this product to gradually change my gear oil. I had to add a small diameter polyethylene tube and it works great. What I now do on my cars is drain 2 liters of fluid from the transmission and replace with new at every oil change. I noticed that this is the best option. Ability to save your fluid if you change your oil every 5000 and change 2 liters, after 100,000 miles add 40 liters of new fluid.
