Not only do they reflect light very well, they last a lot longer than some of the cheaper alternatives. Also, in my experience, they are safer. I've used them to rescue some feral kittens by letting others know they are being cared for. Some of the cheaper collars, even though they should be released, sometimes get stuck in kittens' mouths when they try to remove the collars. The cheaper collars are really dangerous because they don't release quickly enough to prevent the cat from panicking. They are high quality enough to be produced and I haven't had any issues with them. They also just look really nice.
