Review on πŸ“Έ Okeyeye OK600 4K Action Camera Touchscreen 131ft Waterproof Camera Underwater Webcam WiFi Sports Camera with Remote Control | Ultra HD Video & 24MP Photos by Rafael Lewis

Good picture but unreliable remote control. We tested it!

I was very happy with every opportunity to replace my GoPro PIA. I tested okejeye by putting it on a GoPro Hero8 so they can shoot the same scene and then compare the videos and attach them here. I was happy with the video but disappointed that I couldn't use it because there is no electronic image stabilization, which is not a device fault. You just need to be sure that EIS is not what you need. Read more about our test results. -- NO STABILIZATION: When I first looked at the website, it showed that it had Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). Now the updated website does not mention EIS and the manufacturer has indicated that this is their OK800 model with EIS and not this one in the review. Watch the attached video. At one point in the video I was moving the cameras as if they were vibrating as they were mounted on a jeep on a rough road. Okagey is terrible in that it doesn't have any stabilization at all. So I won't abandon EIS as it's not in design but frustrated by the wrong webpage. -- GOOD VIDEO: I'm not a videophile, but I just think the video is great. Maybe a little less resolution or sharpness than the GoPro, but still great for whatever I do. Colors were a little oversaturated, but that's personal preference and can probably be easily remedied in camera settings or in post-production. -- GOOD DISPLAY: I think the display was nice and bright, as well as an easy-to-use touchscreen and very responsive. -- ERROR SOFTWARE: Sometimes the touch screen of the camera froze and I couldn't do anything with the touch screen. I had to turn it off and on again for it to work. -- THE REMOTE WAS DOUBT: I've had mixed results with the remote. The remote itself doesn't give enough feedback to know if the camera is recording or not. There were times when I couldn't get the remote to start recording or turn off the camera. So if you're not around to hear or see the camera, you're working blind. -- NO CHARGER: It comes with 2 batteries but no external charger, so you only get a camera charger, but it's cost-effective to buy a charger. - LONG LIFE BATTERY: An important feature that the seller does not mention on the website and in the manual. After charging the battery overnight, I had the camera record in 1080p 60fps while sitting on my desk and the battery lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes. It was a good result. -- UPDATE TOOLS?: There is no WiFi internet connection on the camera and no update is mentioned in case of firmware update. I don't use apps, but maybe the app running the camera can update the firmware, but again I didn't use it. -- SUPPORT?: There are several cameras that look the same and are sold under different names, all claiming to be the manufacturer. I've seen this business model many times and I suspect there is some production that is sold to rebranding companies. My experience is that if the seller stays long enough to ask you for assistance, you may not get the most support due to a lack of understanding of the product. CONCLUSION: This is an inexpensive camera with a good picture, suitable for use on a fixed tripod. as it has no stabilization and needs to be close to give you the feedback you need to know if the remote worked.
