Nice concept, but not easy to execute. I'm a big fan of reusable things. I have found that the size of the avocado affects the effectiveness of this remedy. If they are too small it will be difficult to make those nice, even slices, although you can pick them up by the edge. The same applies to the size of the dimples, which were difficult to detect with the dimple remover. The plastic knife wasn't sharp enough to make a clean cut when trying to cut an avocado in half. I tried several times but ended up with a mess. To be honest I only had small avocados as I bought in batches.
