I bought these because there are a lot of positive reviews and I have a pair of shoes that I like to wear to work but they are ugly smell after a month wearing. I left them in my shoes all weekend and almost nothing happened. You still smell bad. Maybe it reduced the smell a bit (much like leaving them in the air, which doesn't really mean anything), but it also might just be an attempt to convince myself I didn't waste $10. In fact, the shoes smell exactly the same, and now the bags have a slight smell.
