Size up for my daughter, she is tall and skinny for her age so I bought a size up, still short in the legs and very long in the crotch. There was also a small hole in one leg that leaked when she put them on. They are needed for a wedding, so we sew a hole and get by, the color is the same as the picture, and the fabric is nice and stretchy, warm fabric 3/5. I would try again to see if going up x 2 sizes makes a difference, but only because they aren't that expensive.
