This adapter worked fine but the build quality was odd as there was a gap between the white plastic bezel and the (aluminium) silver matte case. which I think allows dirt to get into the adapter. The lightning connector was very difficult to plug in and unplug and the up direction was not marked. I haven't been able to verify HDMI is 4K capable because when I hooked it up to a Vizio 4K TV the best output from the computer was regular 1080P HD even at 30Hz. This may be related to macOS Sierra. Only one port will work on this adapter at a time, with HDMI taking precedence over VGA. This adapter comes with a small manual which I think will be helpful for some people. The adapter is marked with a CE hologram sticker. Update: A mid 2015 15" Macbook Pro that has no issues with 2160p 30Hz output through its HDMI port will not be able to use this Thunderbolt adapter at all with the same HDMI cable and the same 4K monitor . VGA work.
