I actually bought this to use as a plant stand/center piece for my plant window. It came quickly and corresponds to the description. I didn't check my build time as I did in-between things, but it was pretty easy. I wouldn't suggest power tools for driving screws into softer bamboo. Alan's supplied key was enough to assemble it. You can easily place shelves on the left or right to make them work for you. Pretty sturdy once assembled for what it is. Of course I wouldn't stack 500 pounds of stuff on it, but it looks like it will hold up with normal use. And my plants. I'll paint mine white with matching chalk and try to remember to update the photos. Added recent photo. I have a lot of plants all over my house, but this coat rack, aka a plant stand, was made last year from mostly young plants and cuttings. The stand held up very well while I designed and moved it in phase. Tip: You can easily remove the front screw (tape a small pocket somewhere on the rack for safekeeping, lol) and fold the top and third top shelves back. I show it in the last two photos, only the top shelf has pulled back from a point where I've been playing with how I wanted to style it. This will help hold the extra strength from those 2 shelves and allows you to have 1 or 2 shelves to hold tall plants if you choose. These shelves stack neatly, allowing for more layout options.
