For reference, this is a powerful little vacuum cleaner. In the 10 months that I've owned it, it's been just amazing. However, the brush stopped spinning and following the troubleshooting instructions I called the shark. The motor that drives the brush roller broke and the entire underside had to be replaced. Guess what? It is not covered by the guarantee. repair costs? $75 plus tax, s&h. For a $120 vacuum cleaner. Verdict: Don't expect Shark to live up to its 5-year warranty. I don't even know what that supposed warranty covers. If you buy their products, be prepared that it will break and you will lose money spent. Had I known this I would have bought something cheaper and just expected to replace it like I did with my Bissell I bought every 3 years. I bought the shark based on reviews and warranty. I will now return to Bissell.
