Olympia has fallen.

For almost a thousand dollars I bought two of these recorders for a large hospital system (largest on the west coast). From the $99 recorders we've used so far, I've had reviews that they don't pick up children's voices, drown out even the slightest touch or breeze, and are extremely difficult to operate without realizing they're already full . Let's hope Olympus sticks together and realizes that building a better recorder can make them even more money. At this point I suspect they paid the health systems to make this one of the few 'approved encrypted recorders'.
