This is a special pillow for eye protection. At least, that's what I told my 3-year-old son, who insisted his favorite pillow (and pretty much everything in this world) "hurt his eyes." These daily ailments were usually accompanied by whimpering screams as he frantically rubbed his eyes and stamped his feet as if fire ants were inside and clawing out his eyeballs. Serious. But with this new pillow that doesn't hurt his eyes (I could tell him it said so on the packaging but he can't read yet so it's fine) he now has no trouble sleeping. In fact, he slept through the night with that pillow, woke up dry and alert, happily made his bed, brought me my morning coffee, and began taking refresher courses in math and literature. He even started eating vegetables and putting away his laundry.
