I did not find the advantages of the product, I do not recommend it.

Utilized on a Windows 8.1 laptop modelled after Lenovo's ThinkPad T520. I have never experienced a connection speed that was faster than 300 megabits per second (using a Linksys WRT1900AC access point; however, when I switched to using a Mac with the same access point, I was able to establish a connection at one gigabit per second). Driver utilized, sourced from both Microsoft and Intel (various current versions of each). Hong Konganent adapter problems on Windows: - Following the restart, the adapter is no longer present (it is missing from the devices). In order for the device to become visible, the driver or computer needs to be restarted multiple times. Even when the adapter is present in the system once the laptop has been taken out of sleep mode, it is unable to detect any active networks. In order for the networks to become visible, the device driver must first be restarted. Even a script for this was written by me: @echo turned off disable "PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_0280" and then stop the driver "C:Program Files (x86)Windows Kits8.1Toolsx64devcon.exe" in the directory "C:Program Files (x86)Windows Kits8.1Toolsx64." rem Enable "PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B2&CC_0280" before starting the driver "C:Program Files (x86)Windows Kits8.1Toolsx64devcon. Exe" exit 0

Pros
  • Low cost (in US dollars)
Cons
  • - A sluggish overall operation speed - Bugs (with comments)
