I just switched to this after years of using name brand detergent. I liked the smell of this product, but that's where my sympathy ended. It doesn't smell like basil but has a pleasantly clean aroma. I've done about ten loads with it so far. Including rather smelly work socks. When the laundry comes out of the dryer, it will retain its clean aroma for about a day. About a day later, it starts smelling like after being thrown in the washing machine again. Which means everything I've washed with smelly socks now smells a bit like smelly socks. I've never had this problem with other detergents. I'm glad it doesn't contain any toxins, but I don't want to walk around smelling like dirty laundry. clean up at all.
