Like many MacBook users, I was disappointed that Apple removed the MagSafe charging cable feature from their MacBooks in 2016. This product replaces this missing feature in an elegant and convenient way. :• Magnet strength is perfect, snaps in and out like the old MagSafe charge ports for the 2106 • LED indicates connection is complete - again, just like the old MagSafe • Construction materials are high quality and feel nice. on par with the rest of the MacBook • Doesn't block the second Thunderbolt port (for standard wired connection) • The part that connects to the Mac doesn't fall out – it fits snugly, but can be removed with your fingers if needed. Cons: • The part that connects to the Mac does protrude from the computer, but since enough material is needed to magnetically connect the two parts, this is probably unavoidable since it's an add-on solution. Overall very pleased and would buy again - almost certainly as we have more MacBooks in the family and this one.
