This is a clever, and handy tool to have. I bought it for the soul purpose of power outages, as we have them alot in our area. There is 2 lights, one for a flashlight, and one flips up as a reading light. Radio works well, with good sound and volume. There is even a distress button, it is SUPER LOUD! sounds like a nuclear war alert or something like that! It has a crank dial so if you don't have batteries, no problem, crank it up, and it powers up. It also comes with a USB cord to charge it, or batteries, or solar charge. I am considering buying another one for my elderly parents. It is light weight, and has a strap, it is not big, perhaps a little bigger than a man's palm? I dont write many reviews, but this one I had to, and feel it should be a necessity in everyone's home.so go ahead, just buy it, you won't regret it.
