For an OBD2 scanner, this is a really good standalone device when you need to quickly scan your car for an annoying check engine light or an airbag warning light. It will show you what is causing the error and give you some information about it. The functions of this scanner are more complete than those of the professional diagnostic computer that the dealer has. However, my device had some problems from the start. Opened by plugging it into the car, I got a screen that looks like the SD card is missing and I searched the entire device and couldn't find the SD card slot. I thought it had 6 screws on the back, why not open it up and see what's underneath, and sure enough I found the SD card, it just wasn't fully seated in the bracket. I put everything back, hooked it up, and shared enough to make it work. Then an update of this device came from the manufacturer's website, this particular model was not listed anywhere on the website, so I chose the following model and downloaded the update software. . After I installed and plugged in the USB and the scanner didn't show anything I figured let's take it apart and just pop the SD card into the reader and see if anything happens after that. The software took a while again and recognized the SD card and asked me what I want to update. I selected everything and it started updating and loading. Overall it works but the upgrade and factory quality guarantee isn't the best but for use and now it's up to date. I'm happy with it even with all the different hoops I had to jump into to make it work.
