Its pros: It's normal, but not necessary. It's easy to figure it out. Keeps the window dry. Got cons: It will not work perfectly without streaks, especially the corners. When wiping dry, it is better to lead from the very top of the window to the very bottom, otherwise, the joints where you break will be visible.
