This is definitely not an heirloom. In fact, it's only so-so quality. But for the price we are very satisfied. We don't plan on keeping it for more than one child (our youngest is the only one using a crib) and while mine came with no instructions it was pretty easy to set up once I found them online. It took me about 40 minutes alone, with a second pair of hands it would be much faster. When assembled it is very strong despite being made of cardboard and not solid wood. The only thing that feels a little flimsy are the boards that hold the mattress - they don't seem able to support anything other than a quietly resting baby (which anyone with a toddler knows isn't usually the only thing they do that on Bed!). But probably, if necessary, it will be easy to replace it with a piece of plywood. As other reviewers have noted, it is very low. The legs are only about 3 inches tall. I agree, but if you're looking for something more "furniture" and less "childish" you might want to consider other options. In general, we are happy that we have a decent quality bed. at an affordable price.
