The hat comes with a pad to reduce the size if you find it a little big.I have a small head. The nice thing is that it also has a draw string in it to reduce the size even more, though it makes the pad useless at that point so you won't need it. I find using the draw string helps greatly getting the right fit, one just needs to double bow it so it doesn't slip but still allow minor adjustments later.The only real flaw I found was that the magnetic hat pin is really not that strong. Very novel design that allows one to change it out to suit the needs, and prevent damage to the hat from repeated changing, but the magnet could be much stronger to prevent it from moving or just falling off. If the magnet would've been stronger, I'd have given it a 5 star rating.I'd give it a 4.5 now but one can't choose a half star.
