I just downloaded the player from Windows Media Center. I haven't downloaded Songbird. Windows 7 has drivers for this player. The transfer was very easy, the player is easy to set up if you've done it before. The sound is good, I don't know about the battery life yet, but I used to have a Philips mp3 and the lifespan was really good. The seller of this player was very good, I would give them 10 stars if I could. I got the player for $33 with shipping. At Walmart, this player costs more than fifty dollars. This is a great purchase. Update 08/27/12 In just six months it burned down. He stopped playing mid-song. The shuffle function has never been very good. They always played the same songs. I won't be buying another Philips MP3 any time soon.
