I used it to inflate a mattress while camping. I didn't want anything that relied on electricity or batteries. It was pretty efficient. There are two options for the pump depending on where you place the hose that connects to the air mattress. It can inflate or help deflate. That's convenient. The scope of delivery includes four attachments for different hole sizes for different air mattresses. The adjustment for my air mattress (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JH1INQ/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00) was not tight enough. I don't know if it's the mattress or the pump. (I also reviewed this mattress.) Also, the hose that connects to the air mattress is attached to the handle, so the hose moves a lot during inflation, making it more likely that the hose will fall out of the air mattress inflation hole. This combined with the fact that it wasn't too tight made it a common occurrence. So I had to hold the tube in the hole in the mattress with one hand and pump with the other. It wasn't the end of the world, but things got complicated. All in all I think I would go to a camping supply store and make sure the pump and mattress hole fit snugly and don't move around much but as we all know stores don't have as much selection as Amazon. I don't know if I would buy it again, but it certainly served its purpose.
