Flash drive works right out of the box. The slider allows the user to protect the USB port when not in use. It expands the connector and locks it when needed. However, the included software SanDiskSecure Access is confusing. With its "Download for Mac" document, it gives the impression that it has to be installed in order to be able to use the USB stick. However, the software is designed to set up encryption and password protection of the data on the hard drive. This is unnecessary for most users who just want to transfer data. I removed the software installer from this drive to free up disk space.
