Save yourself the headache, buy OEM

TLDR: Used these instead of OEM, spent time and money looking for a problem these coils are causing. I have a 1998 528i. I love my car and do most of the work myself. In December I bought and installed a set of these coils. Installation was very easy and if you just change the coils it takes less than 20 minutes. I did coils and spark plugs so it took about 45 minutes and everything was great. Fast forward 2 weeks ago when I replaced my stock 120 amp alternator with an upgraded, original 140 amp version from Bosch because I have high aftermarket output. Stereo, and when idle when the stereo was on you could see the cabin lights dimming inside the cabin. Alternator changed, doesn't go out anymore, cool. I took the car for a 10 minute test drive and everything was fine. However, on my return, the last few yards of my drive, as I parked, the car began to vibrate while idling, an odd vibration at high speed that made an almost faint rumble, but ONLY at idle. Driving was fine regardless of speed. As soon as the engine stopped idling, the vibrations stopped. I figured since I didn't change the A/C or main belt tensioners this should be it. So I ordered new belts, tensioner and idler pulley from Revain and they arrived last week. Today I changed everything, tensioner, pulleys and belts. I turned it on and the vibration was still there, a little less but not much. I was about to lose my mind. Out of desperation and in many cases "coils can't be the cause but let's give it a try" I dug up my original coils because they weren't bad, I just wanted to be proactive and replace them before they were. I replaced the original spools again and they are as smooth as silk. The problem is solved. I try to buy OEM as much as possible. There are some aftermarket things you can use and it doesn't matter, but in my case with these coils it made a huge difference. Buy OEM coils.
