
Yes, the cover is easy to fit and adds a touch of class to the unit. However, if your bike has heat shields in the middle of the frame, be prepared to remove the bottom bracket as well. This aspect was not thought through in the installation instructions. I was apprehensive about removing it until I realized that my model had the rear nut welded to the frame, so no big deal. I remember on a previous bike it took almost an hour to juggle the rear nut to make fitting the guard easier (very tight work area, hard to hit with a wrench).
