After buying the first one and using it for a week I bought the second one because I love it so much! (2 cats) On my first purchase I bought the recommended inner pan which fits well but there is about an inch gap between the wall and the pan and my cats have continued to do their thing in the gap to fill it evenly make. harder to clean so I left out the extra tray and just used extra large cat litter liners at the bottom (I use Alfapet Kitty Cat Disposable Stretchable Cat Litter Liners - 10 Pack - for Large, X-Large, Giant, Extra-Huge Trays for Trash"). They fit well and make cleaning easier. The downside is that the white cap doesn't fit that well because the package gets in the way of the groove and blocks the entrance a bit, but that wasn't a big problem. My advice is that I ended up with rocks everywhere the first few times I changed it, they sit very high on the lid so they fly apart if you're not very careful, there's a foam tray that you insert and rocks put it on top. The foam tray is 2 pieces of foam glued together. I didn't like how high the bricks sit (although it might be a bit more aesthetic) because they kept falling out, so I did ripped the styrofoam pieces in half and just used a thicker one. Now the rocks still sit high enough to be seen, but they don't fly all over the place when I lift the lid. One last note: the product description is correct, they are big! One of my cats doesn't like being too enclosed so I was concerned but these are large pots and the dome is quite high so even large cats have plenty of room!
