vise arrived in good condition. The styrofoam in the box had cracked from the weight, but the vise and handle were intact. The packaging could have been better. The workmanship seems to be better than most other Chinese products. As several other buyers have noted, the edges of the molding and sponge are extremely sharp and could easily cut your fingers. Before using it, you MUST spend about an hour beveling and deburring all edges with a good file. The edges are sharper than my pocket knife. After cleaning the ground surfaces, the parallelism of the lugs horizontally and vertically is very good, which is confirmed by the Mitutoyo dial. The base was sanded well and also flat within 0.0002. There was no noticeable bend or bulge. The tension is also very good. The mold quality is good, there are no visible voids. The hammer blue color can be easily applied to the base and looks good. The handle is very loose and sloppy when placed on the spindle hex, but it does the job. The included T-bolts will not fit into most router table T-slots. You are too small. Make your own or buy a good pair. The manual (in "Chinglish") is a separate language. It appears to be written in Klingon. But at the end of the day it's a milling vise, you have to know how to use it. Value less than $100.00 I would buy this item without hesitation.
