First I want to say that the build quality is really good, I think it's aluminum but it doesn't feel super light and cheap as you might think. 6 screws attach the heatsink to the M.2 drive itself, and the 7th screw attaches the M.2 drive as usual. I had no problem installing this in a slot, but I'd say if it was under a graphics card or whatever just make sure you have room for it, although it's not big at all. I'm adding some export tests from Samsung. Wizard of my Samsung 980 NVMe but the significant range of estimates is a bit misleading so take this with a grain of salt as I'm not sure what happened. I can say with confidence that the temperature of the hard drive has dropped significantly. The ASIC (NAND controller) is the part of the drive that generates the most heat, and with this heatsink, the temperature does not exceed 50°C, while it previously reached 70°C during testing. In short, it works - and looks pretty cool when it's in a visible area. Considering the price and the potential for better performance and most importantly more consistent performance, this is an easy recommendation.
