Looks decent for its price. I love the effect on the ceiling with the bars coming out and the bloom effect on the base. The picture does not convey this. It actually looks a little better in real life. The dome is about the size of a standard downlight cover that builders install in homes. It comes with a wire connector already installed with two black wires and a ground. The manual doesn't say anything about it, but it's pretty easy to find out. I had to trim the tip of the existing wire to about 1/4 inch for safety, but not too short so it wouldn't touch the connector. You will need a small screwdriver to tighten the connection and then tug at it to make sure it doesn't come loose when you plug the wires back into the box. All in all, this is an easy project to update an outdated lightweight. I bet 4. The only thing is that the kit does not include a light bulb. So I bought the equivalent 5W transparent eco bulbs.
