I bought the 10 year old size for my 9 year old daughter who is thin but tall. I thought a size 10 would be about the size she is now (for girls L 10/12). I measured it against her current clothes when she was out and thought it was too short for her arms and legs. She wore it to school for Pajama Christmas this morning and it turned out way better than I expected! I still recommend getting one size bigger. I will most likely buy again next year.
