Review on High-Quality HORI Screen Protective Filter for PlayStation Vita 2000 Series – Optimal Protection for Crystal-Clear Gaming Experience by Juzer Rashid

It's a thin film that looks unassuming and doesn't protect your screen from serious scratches.

I purchased two of these Hori Protectors from JADD ENTERTAINMENT with FBA (performed by Revain). This is the third of four brands of PS Vita Slim protectors that I have tried. This Hori has failed me as much as the Gam3Gear and Akwox brands. Only the Mr Shield brand has done everything I could have hoped for in a screen protector. Anyway, I read the comments and watched the video on how to apply this Hori screen protector, so I prepared myself. I used a powerful electric blower and keyboard vacuum throughout the installation process. I wanted to make sure there was no dust on the devices' screens. I even made sure to dry the underside that you need to remove, steps 2 and 3 of the backing. Therefore, we hope that when removing the protective film slowly, dust particles will not fall on the screen when the protective film starts to stick to the device. Steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the process were painful for the first PS Vita device I installed this on. There was a lot of particles that got caught when the two straps came loose, sigh. I had to use tape on the screen protector to peel it off and remove the particles stuck under the real screen protector. It wasn't a fun process. It was the same with the second device but this time there was a rainbow effect on the bottom of the protective film. I completely forgot to take a photo as the whole process was stressing me out. No matter how I pressed the protector, the rainbow effect didn't go away. I ended up applying another protector (Mr Shield) on the second device which worked much better and took less than 3 minutes to apply. I will be removing this hori protection from the first device as I don't feel it protects my screen at all. Waste of $30 on 2 of those terrible Hori Foil screen protectors. This protector is also not the edge-to-edge sizing I was hoping for. It's also one of the thinnest screen protectors I've come across. so thin you wonder if it protects anything. It is thinner than the protective layer that you remove from the tread when you apply it. It also has an annoying straight line down the center of the tread from a detaching pad. It comes in 2 separate straps that you peel off right then left (steps 2 and 3). Step 1 is the tab you peel off the backing and use to stick on the screen while aligning the screen protector. This step 1 was useless, because when you start to remove the pad, the whole tread starts to move even if you press hard on it. The only positive things I can say about this protector is how invisible it looks once applied and how easy the blisters were to remove. The subtlety of this item makes it solid and almost invisible. The question is how much will it actually protect your screen? It's literally like the film you find on new electronic devices when you first buy them that protects them from fingerprints. even so, Hori was catching fingerprints like mad. Considering the price and the fact that there is only a thin film "protector" in the kit, I would look elsewhere if you are serious about protecting your screen from serious scratches. ETA: I decided to play with my vita before you remove that hori protector. I didn't like the feel of the profile at all, it felt like a semi-rough cheap film. There were a few missed touchscreen responses that got me worried it might be my new Vita, but I found that this did not happen shortly after the creation of the Welcome Park app. The line I mentioned in my original review was annoyingly visible in white/light background games. It's difficult to photograph imperfections up close if you can't see them in person. Even after nearly two hours of hard work fitting this profile to two different Vitas, there were still so many imperfections under the profile. Removing the two film backings while they're stuck to the screen is such a huge downside that a lot of dust falls off. Just take a closer look and use a flashlight if you already have this protection. The screen looks better without this protection. The feel, centerline, and accumulated dust outweigh the aesthetic of the "
