Reviews were great so I gave it a try but this product is nothing more than a toy. The grip itself is well designed and feels pretty solid, but the red plastic grip can't be tightened enough to securely hold the DSLR. Attempting to tighten it only gnaws at the flimsy rubber seal, which then comes loose completely because it's barely bonded to the plastic. I should have known better; something should probably be made of metal. Edit: I found/ordered a metal one here with a rubber/plastic grip for $2 less and it's great. The shape isn't as ergonomic as plastic pistol grips, but it's much more stable and secure, which I prefer.
