Most salt and pepper shakers are useless with measuring spoons. I can't find one that even allows for a full teaspoon. These basements are amazing. I could scoop a tablespoon if I had to! We even live in a high humidity area and the lid is pretty reliable. I have no problem with salt (which is on my kitchen) absorbing moisture. On some dishes I want the pepper on top and I can do that too, but when I'm cooking more complex dishes I can leave both open and still have quick and easy access to both without fear of them tipping over and spilling. Also, they are so cute! I wish the company would come up with more colors, but maybe it's just because those little charms exist. Thanks Dovan for this suggestion.
