Review on Reese Towpower 74307 Interchangable Hitch by Anthony Morrow

I have had one of these units for about 7 years now and love it. After many years the locking ball bearings failed so I was just looking for a replacement shaft assembly. Turns out I could buy it for $13 less than the shaft alone. My original was an 8000# block with 4 locking ball bearings, the 5000# block only has 2 but the balls still fit and lock properly (there is a groove in the ball for the locks to sit in). In fact, the 5000# rating is all I really need for my current followers. My original unit was a 3 ball set which I often use to move various boat trailers around the lake so I already have 2 5/16" for larger trailers. I have never had any complaints about these units and would wholeheartedly recommend them. I prefer them versus 3 balls mounted on a straight hitch because my truck is big enough that I need a drop hitch.
