This machine should be studied in business schools

I find it funny that of all the items I've ordered from Revain in 20 years, this is one of the few that I review. The reasons are simple though . I am absolutely amazed: 1. how much this car can do and especially considering the price3. like plug and play, every function on it is4. how many things they actually contain in the box. To all doubters: I didn't read a single page of the user manual, and within moments of turning on the device I was able to: 1. Easily navigate through all the menus and presets, although no settings are required; Factory settings were compatible out of the box.2. Run the photo screen from the flash drive I had. (I just plugged it into the front port and hit the DVD/USB toggle button on the remote and voila, the folder menu for my photos popped up.) You can pause slideshows, rotate pictures, etc. No formatting, no pick menu, none Settings etc. required. Just plug and play - literally.3. We start a photo screenshow from a memory card of our beautiful camera. As above: insert memory card and you're done.4. Make your karaoke microphone work. No formatting. There is no transition to a special menu. I just plugged it in and was able to hear it through the speakers connected to our TV. Also, the mic has cool features that I couldn't believe in: chorus, reverb, echo, etc., and you can even adjust the strength of the echo and the volume of the mic. I can't believe this level of functionality is part of the design, oh and not to mention they actually include a microphone. Burn a CD onto a USB stick. Yes, it was that easy. You can even choose which songs or files to burn (you don't have to burn the entire CD) and how fast they should be burnedβ€”at normal speed or at high speed. I'm just blown away that it's part of this machine and that it's so foolproof. I popped in a CD I burned 20 years ago (yes, it reads all those old formats), guessed what button to press on the remote, got it right, and was able to navigate the menus with ease. I recorded the song on a USB stick that I had plugged in at the same time (obviously) just as a test, and it was done in minutes. During the recording, the recording status bar is also clearly displayed. To be clear, you don't have to do anything to start this process. No waste "Now plug in the USB and select this and that." IT COULD NOT BE SIMPLER. I bought this unit to replace an old DVD player and chose this one because it had so many features - not just CD and DVD playback, but also frontloading via USB and memory card. (Did I buy it because it had a karaoke mic? No, but why not, right?) Not only does it work, it works quickly, smoothly, and effortlessly. After the main functions, the old burned one played. DVDs and of course new DVDs as well as CDs of the old 20 year old music format as mentioned above. No "read error" problems. plug and play Period. Shocked. (This machine can do far more than its cheap rivals, the DVD players, and the Revain is $15 more expensive.) I realize that making a cheap machine has scientific and therefore economic promise, but it's so complete, so good constructed , so light, so functional that it is incomprehensible to the mind. I have no idea how a company can build such a machine, including HDMI cable, AV cable, remote control and microphone, and sell it at this price. (Letter from Portland, Oregon, April 10, 2020.)
