I have had an old inexpensive Braun juicer for many years that is finally in need of replacement and found that it is no longer made. First I bought a stainless steel juicer. Breville. It looked good, but for some reason it lacked engine power, causing it to stop juicing and return it. Was very disappointed. Then I went cheaper and bought a Tribest based on the reviews in Revain. Worked about 1 year, his part broke. Also, it couldn't be washed in the dishwasher. Finally bought this Omega. The first device delivered had a slightly bent shaft and made a very annoying squeak. For the money decided it should work flawlessly. They sent the device back and asked for a replacement (the transaction went smoothly). The second block was delivered, and the shaft turned out to be straight when turning. There was still a small squeak, but not as severe as that of the first unit. I put some of the silicone grease I use on my treadmill on the center shaft near the black bushing and it eventually went silent. There's a bit of gear noise that I'd like to oil, but it's not serious. The main thing is that it has enough power for quick citrus juice, juicers come in several sizes for processing lemons or oranges (haven't tried grapefruit. Not sure if the largest head is big enough). In addition, the parts are dishwasher safe and very easy to clean. It appears to be well made and we hope it will provide years of service. The woman is also happy about the new citrus press.
