I was very excited to try this kit. I have used a water based hot stone massage set at home with my wife and it was so inconvenient that we have only used it twice in 4 years. This set looked so easy and convenient that I bought it for our 8th birthday. I see great potential for this kit but was disappointed with its use. Pros: 1 - Easy to use. Place it on a flat surface, plug it in, wait for it to heat up, and get started. 2 - No water. You can use it in many other places. 3- The big stones are great, my wife loved how much heat they put on her aching/strained muscles. Cons: 1 - The small stones were very hot (sometimes too hot for my wife). ), but the big rocks weren't quite hot. It would be nice if there were two sections with different heating elements, 1 for large stones and 1 for small stones.2 - The outside of the cabinet got very hot. If I use this in bed I would be concerned about damaging the foam mattress/pad. You should insulate the case from the outside to make it safer.3 - No temperature control. Even a slider or slider with a number from 1 to 10 in a chord gives you some control 4 - Not enough big stones. It took all those big stones to slide down my wife's spine and place a stone on each muscle in her shoulder/neck. It would be nice to have 6 or 8 more large rocks so they can heat up while other rocks are being used. Larger stones take some time to heat up, so having more stones would be very helpful.5 - Accord is always outside. There is no heating element at the top, so why can't the chord be inside? It would be much easier to save it. 6 - There is no heating element in the upper part. If the top could fully open and heat, it would be easy to have a large stone helper and a small stone side. buy this kit.
