Didn't even take it out of the plastic wrap (it's for our newborn who hasn't arrived yet). But I can confidently consider this particular blanket because our firstborn has been through about a dozen or more of them (he's 14 now and gave them up a long time ago). They were a great comfort to him and brought great sadness when he lost one (that's why we had so many). They are very soft and have a feel that no other protective blanket can match. Believe me, we've tried others. He called them his stinky blankets (we had to switch places to wash them or he'd never let us take them). Luckily, they were easy to find and replace. So if your little one loves them, be sure to order replacements. This saves you a lot of trouble when they inevitably drop it somewhere.
